The University’s Primary Student Government Organization

The University of Michigan’s Central Student Government  serves as the university’s primary student government organization with over 100 students working in some capacity to represent and lead U-M students. Central Student Government has three distinct branches, executive, legislative, and judiciary, each serving a unique purpose and its staff members include a Student Life Advisor.

CSG includes numerous commissions and representation from each school and college and represents the student voice at the University to the administration and the world. The assembly organizes campus-wide events like the BEAT OSU Rally and Homecoming. Students can join any of the 25 committees and commissions that make up CSG, along with the elected representatives.
