Challenge Program participants in Japan

Regardless of cultural and language differences, people share similar appreciation for friendship, trust, understanding and respect.  So it was with no lack of confidence that Elizabeth "Beanie" Zollweg traveled from Ann Arbor to Tokyo to lead a Japanese translation of the Challenge Program.

Operated by U-M Recreational Sports and directed by Zollweg, the Challenge Program conducts a carefully designed series of problem-solving initiatives and activities to help groups develop awareness and skills in cooperation, trust, communication, collaboration, mutual support and self-confidence.
