Latin Heritage Month

On behalf of MESA & La Casa, we are excited to extend an invitation to the 2018 Latinx Heritage Month Opening Ceremony! The Opening Ceremony will occur on September 11th at the Michigan League, Ballroom at 6 pm.

Latinx Heritage Month (LHM) runs from Sept. 15 - Oct. 15 and is in observation of the histories, cultures, and contributions of Latinx members throughout the United States and Latin America. The 2018 LHM committee has been working tirelessly to bring an exciting month of programming to the U-M community. Here's what to look forward to:

  • Book readings, theater events, community alters!
  • Authentic food by U-M Latinx chefs!
  • Latinx Wikipedia Edit-a-thon!
  • PLUS: Latinx Intersectionality & My Latinx Is open-mic!

Check out the events: https://mesa.umich.edu/latinx-heritage-month

We hope that you can help us share the Latinx Heritage Month 2018 calendar and Opening Ceremony invitation with colleagues, students, and other community members at UM. We will be sending follow-up emails that will include a list of LHM events happening the following week!

Below you will find our first list of events happening from September 11th - September 21st.
