The University of Michigan is fourth on the list of top volunteer-producing graduate schools in 2017 and has made the list for 17 consecutive years. A total of 2,684 alumni have served the Peace Corps since it was created in 1961 and 60 alumni are currently volunteering.

Royster Harper, Vice President for Student Life, was recently interviewed on the local news channel ClickOnDetroit about student's participation in the Peace Corps.

"It is to our graduates' credit that they choose to serve others, to embed themselves into new cultures and to channel their confidence and independence toward making a difference." -- Royster Harper

The world has changed quite a bit since the Peace Corps was established, and the need for Peace Corps volunteers is more relevant than ever. Stop by the U-M Peace Corps office or attend a Peace Corps event to find out how you can make a difference.
