Student Life Objective:
Strengthen, improve, and expand Student Life and academic connections to build productive partnerships to increase student learning on diversity and inclusion matters.
- Engage Schools and Colleges in the completion of an inventory of existing and desired Academic-SL DEI related activities with students and validate current SL contributions.
- Identify, explore, and highlight sustained/structural partnerships between SL and Academic Areas related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Outline ways to leverage, expand and develop Student Life staff and unit capacity to meet the existing and future needs of the Schools and Colleges on DEI issues pertaining to students.
- Outline guiding principles and agreements for partnership models between SL and Schools & Colleges that develop and support DEI goals for students.
Explore structures for providing Schools and Colleges with DEI-related practice sites and other co-curricular experiences for students within Student Life units.
