Michigan Dining’s residential dining halls will begin regular hours for the Fall 2022 term on Aug. 29. Your student can view the most up-to-date hours of operation and menus at any time while on the go on the Dining website.
Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 24 during student move in, all Michigan Dining residential dining halls will be open and meal plans will be accepted. If your hungry Wolverine is living off-campus and in need of convenient on-campus dining options in between classes and student organization meetings, Dining offers optional meal plans.
If you or your Wolverine are looking for a quick bite to eat while finishing moving their room furnishings, consider a stop in one of Michigan Dining’s seven residential dining halls: Bursley, East Quad, Markley, Mosher-Jordan, North Quad, South Quad and Twigs. As part of extending a warm welcome to you as part of our Michigan family, Michigan Dining is offering complimentary entry for students and their helpers during move-in.

Curious how busy a residential Dining hall is? There's an app for that!
Your student can see how busy every Dining residential hall is at any given time using the Michigan App, a free mobile application that provides your Wolverine:
- location-based content including bus stops, parking locations, and dining halls
- search based on places (campus buildings) and people (faculty, staff, and students)
- in-app announcements and reminders related to academic life
- personalized class schedule information
- featured university news and events
To view residential dining hall capacity, your Wolverine can:
- Open the Michigan app
- Click "M Life" in the bottom navigation bar
- Scroll down and click "More Dining"
- Under "Browse by Type," click "Dining Halls"
The bright blue bubbles show how full each location is in real time. For faster future access, your Wolverine can mark their favorite residential halls, too.
