Housing: Fall updates

To help ensure M Housing can provide your student with a Housing experience that more closely resemble those of a traditional semester, all students residing in M Housing this fall are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

This vaccination requirement is the most important and effective step to bring back the in-person community of residence life. It also helps us provide a living environment this fall as close as possible to the dynamic social interactions that generations of Michigan Housing residents have experienced.

Vaccinated students living on campus will not be required to wear a face covering while in their own residence hall, including common areas. Guests are allowed in Michigan Housing this year. All guests (even UM vaccinated students) need to wear a face covering while visiting a residential space where they are not currently assigned. Guests should expect to show their ResponsiBLUE app when asked.

We also will continue to be informed and implement safe practices as recommended by the CDC and public health guidance.

To report that your student has received a vaccination, they can follow the links on the Campus Maize and BLUEprint website for instructions on uploading your vaccination information. Please note that it will take a few business days to process.

All students were asked to report their vaccination information by 5:00 pm (EST) on Friday, July 16, 2021. Students who did not meet this deadline have received additional messages to let them know if they have not submitted this information by 5:00 pm (EST) on Monday, August 2, 2021, their assignment will be rescinded/cancelled. Please reach out to MHousing if your student has missed this deadline.

The above action is necessary so M Housing can assign spaces to students on our waitlist.
