Mom calling student on cell phone

The University of Michigan experience is shared every semester not only by enrolled students, but by many others, far and wide.  This video, recently created by U-M students, simply and vividly depicts the excitement of being accepted to Michigan, the thrill of attending, and the feeling of belonging and self-discovery so many find at Michigan.

The Michigan experience includes parents back home, checking in every Sunday to hear about last week’s lectures; recent graduates, taking a plunge into their first careers; and alumni of decades ago, who hold forever in their hearts the memories made and lessons learned during their time on campus.  U-M is the place, the people, the sound of a drum at halftime, the professor who won’t give up. It is what shapes all those who know it.

Want to continue that feeling of belonging?  The Alumni Association invites parents, students, and alumni alike to participate in university-based activities.  Through family-focused clubs, camps, and events, the Alumni Association allows parents to join in more than 75 Michigan clubs, including “a variety of events from picnics and outings to U-M game-watching parties.”

&The clubs give you the opportunity to share your U-M pride by recruiting top students in your area or participating in volunteer opportunities with other Michigan alumni.

So whether you’re a student, parent, or graduate, membership to the Alumni Association is available, easy and welcome.
