Is your student looking for something fun to do on campus the first week of classes? The 19th annual Taste of Culture will take place on Sunday September 8th from 2-6 pm. Taste of Culture is sponsored by Student Life, Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA), and the Trotter Multicultural Center, and this is one event not to be missed.
Taste of Culture welcomes over 1,000 new and returning students, faculty, staff and local Ann Arbor residents to experience authentic cultural cuisine, live performances from local artists, raffle prizes and family-friendly games and activities. The event is free of charge.
According to MESA/Trotter Community Development Program Manager Yakaira J. Alexander-Ramos, "This is a great opportunity for students to have fun, get out and learn more about what Ann Arbor has to offer… bringing together the entire community to welcome our newcomers and everyone else to the new school year!"
The Trotter Multicultural Center is located at 1443 Washtenaw Avenue, near the corner of S. University, and just minutes from central campus and around the corner from the Rock. Nearby parking is available at Angell Elementary School and the South Forest Visitor Parking Structure. And be sure to come early to enjoy the widest selection of food!
