This year Parents & Family Weekend will be virtual! Student Life will be bringing the Michigan Experience to you by providing a wide range of opportunities to explore campus, talk with Presidents Schlissel and University leaders, and engage with various campus offices virtually. No need to register and all events are free!
You can find Parents & Family Weekend opportunities by visiting the Events page on the Parents & Family Weekend website. The opportunities include a virtual tour of the Clements Library, Zoom Open Houses with schools and colleges, a family-tailored website from Financial Aid, and many more. There are both synchronous and asynchronous opportunities, so begin exploring today and add other events to your calendar for the future. Events are still being added, so check back regularly to find other ways to experience Parents & Family Weekend this year.
A spotlight event is a Town Hall with President Mark S. Schlissel, Provost Susan M. Collins, and Vice President for Student Life Martino Harmon on Friday, November 6 at 2:15 p.m. (EST). This is an opportunity for University leadership to share campus updates and address parent/family questions. Registration for this event will be required. Check the Parents & Family Weekend website during the week of November 2, 2020 for more information about registration for this event specifically.
From the feedback we gather from parents and families who have attended past Parents & Family Weekends, we know that your favorite part is simply spending time with your student. We hope that you still find ways to engage with them. Host a virtual family game night. Schedule weekly check-in calls. Video chat while watching the game. Your student will be appreciative of your support and connection!!
We hope to see you in one of the virtual opportunities and hopefully in-person next fall! If you have any questions email us at email@example.com.
