Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) has an extensive CAPS Toolkit. Designed for first year students, new to U-M, equips students with information needed to support an emotionally healthy lifestyle while going through some really big adjustments to campus life.
The Student Advisory Board and CAPS professional staff worked together to create the Toolkit, “Go Blue! A New Student’s Guide to Surviving and Thriving at U-M: Mental Health Tips” , which is now available to your student.
As a reminder, CAPS is open, working with hundreds of students each week, 24/7 (CAPS during the day; CAPS After Hours during the evenings/weekends/holidays). Some helpful quick links, include:
- CAPS Website, especially MiTalk (self help suite on the CAPS website)
- CAPS Stressbusters App
- SilverCloud (self-guided modules)
- CAPS After Hours
- How to Make An Appointment
- COVID Support Hub
Please encourage your student to visit CAPS with any questions, concerns and request for resources.
