- A safe space to explore issues of identity, diversity, and social justice in a classroom, research, or workshop setting
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and/or Queer support, education, resources, and community
- Empowerment, programming, support, and community built around multicultural, racial, ethnic, and social justice-related needs and issues
- An inclusive, multiculturally-focused campus space for socializing, studying, and engaging in enriching and fun programming
- Educational opportunities that support a respectful and civil campus climate, or a place to report an incident of hate/bias
- A secure space to explore their identity around disability and to receive academic accommodations and access other resources.
The Program on Intergroup Relations (IGR)
IGR is a social justice education program that blends theory and experiential learning to facilitate students' learning about social group identity, social inequality, and intergroup relations. The program prepares students to live and work in a diverse world and educates them in making choices that advance equity, justice, and peace. IGR is a partnership between Student Life and the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.

The Spectrum Center
With sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as a framework, the Spectrum Center is committed to enriching the campus experience and developing students as individuals and as members of communities. Our work is accomplished through student-centered education, outreach, advocacy and support.

Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA)
MESA promotes student development and empowers the campus community around issues of diversity and social justice through the lens of race and ethnicity. The office encourages and supports engagement with other communities and, given the multiple and complex identities of today’s students, addresses them with an intercultural and leadership-focused approach. The office’s work is grounded in theory and emphasizes community, multicultural and intercultural development and promotes cross collaboration, develops intercultural skills, empowers students to address social justice issues.

William Monroe Trotter Multicultural Center
The Trotter Multicultural Center promotes a campus and communityin which all students can prosper academically and socially, and provide services to build a supportive environment in which all students can develop a better understanding and appreciation for the Multicultural diversity represented at the University.
