The schedule may change and we encourage you to check for updates regularly. Registration details, including event ticket prices, will be provided once registration opens in August. Join us to learn more about the history of the Clements Library, its programs, and collections. Highlights include Benjamin West's iconic painting "Death of General Wolfe," a Revolutionary War-era trunk that once housed General Thomas Gage's papers, and an exhibit exploring the history of satirical cartoons. Arrive at the North Entrance to check in for your tour. This entrance is accessible, and an elevator can move between floors.

Intro to Conflict Resolution

Conflict is inevitable, arises in a diverse number of experiences (including relationships with peers, family members, and colleagues), and yet can also be an opportunity for positive growth and transformation. In this session, tips, tools, and resources for managing conflict effectively will be provided to participants as well as the opportunity to practice these strategies through scenarios. These tools include reflecting on one's conflict styles, using an active listening method, called CLARA, to seek first to understand and then to be understood, and conveying your interests and needs through non-violent communication methods.

Starting at the Michigan Union

This walking tour seeks to familiarize you not only with the illustrious, imposing architecture of the Law Quadrangle here at the University of Michigan but also with the historic presence of the Law School itself. Over the course of 1.5 hours, we will discuss the conception of the buildings themselves, the winding roads it took to get there, and the Law School’s many years of influence on social issues and legal education as we stroll through the Quad. Join us as we uncover stories and debunk myths about the distinctive University of Michigan Law Quadrangle.
