Rec Sports Offers Group-X Free Week, and More

Heading into the Winter semester, University of Michigan students on and off campus will have a number of opportunities to stay active and moving via Recreational Sports. These include:

  • Group-X Free Week: Your student can try any Group-X class for free January 19-25. All classes are virtual, so they can move in the comfort of their own home. Classes include Yoga Flow, Zumba, Cardio Kickboxing, and more. Students can purchase a $35 Unlimited Semester Pass after the free week to get access to over 40 classes each week!
  • Workout in our facilities: Whether your student is looking to lift weights, go for a swim, or run on a treadmill, Recreational Sports has clean, safe spaces to get moving in the winter months. Your student can download the Rec Sports app to reserve a time to workout at one of the three recreation facilities on campus (CCRB, IMSB, NCRB).
  • Sip & Stroll with Adventure Leadership: Your student can also join the Adventure Leadership team for hikes around campus and sip FREE hot chocolate from Michigan Dining. Social distancing and face coverings will be required. Dates and times are still TBD.
  • Intramural Sports: Winter A Intramural Sports registration begins January 20 through January 27. Cost is $8 for a Single Roster Pass, $15 for an Unlimited Pass. Sports offered will be announced soon and will depend on timely COVID restrictions.
