Associate Vice President Connie Tingson Gatuz, Ph.D. has announced that Kyra T. Shahid, Ph.D. will be the next director of the William Monroe Trotter Multicultural Center. The Trotter Multicultural Center serves as a campus facilitator, convener, and coordinator of intercultural engagement and inclusive leadership education initiatives for University of Michigan students.

The Division of Student Life at the University of Michigan is committed to facilitating student learning and the development of the whole student. To this end, Student Life is pleased to announce that Dr. Connie Tingson Gatuz has accepted the Associate Vice President for Student Development, Learning, and Social Change Education position. Her appointment was approved by the Board of Regents on February 17, 2022.
