Student Life at the University of Michigan is pleased to open registration for The 12th Annual Student Life Research Symposium on 12 May 2015. The 2015 Student Life Research Symposium invites presentations from staff, students, and faculty on topics related to issues of theory to practice in our work  with students. 



Going Platinum: Steps that Lead to Sustainable Office Stardom

Student Life is on a mission to achieve the highest rating of sustainability across campus. Already, many of the organizations under its umbrella have gone Platinum as green champions at the University.

The University Activities Center (UAC) is the latest organization to achieve a Platinum level rating by the Sustainable Workplace Certification Program. Based at the Michigan Union, UAC is a student-run organization with 15 committees that run activities and events around campus.

Greek Life Celebrates 170 Years

During 2015 the Greek Community at Michigan will be celebrating 170 years of providing students with rich experiences in brotherhood, sisterhood, leadership, and service. Since 1845, fraternities and sororities at the University of Michigan have offered students the opportunity to be a part of one of the oldest Michigan traditions. 


Integrating IGR Skills Into Medical Field Experience

When many people think about IGR, they immediately think about social justice. While it is true that IGR provokes us to think about social justice both on and off campus, I feel IGR provides so much beyond just understanding social justice. For example, when I talk with students, they tell me about all the skills and tools that they have gained and can use throughout their careers and lives.
