September 30, 2022 | Student Life has achieved significant progress in DEI 1.0 to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion at Michigan. Beginning in 2015, Student Life engaged a broad cross-section of students and staff to augment our research efforts and ensure a grounded and informed plan to be implemented over the next five years.
November 23, 2022 | The Office of the Vice President for Student Life (OVPSL) will be closed for the Winter Break Saturday, December 24 – Monday, January 2. We will reopen with staff members in the office at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

March 7, 2023 | The Student Advisory Board is a group of approximately two dozen undergraduate and graduate students from across the schools and colleges who provide advice on pressing student issues to Dr. Martino Harmon, the Vice President for Student Life. Meetings throughout the academic year encourage discussion on new initiatives and emergent issues. The application for the 2023-2024 academic year runs from March 10th to March 31st, 2023. All U-M students are eligible to apply.
