Dr. Connie Tingson Gatuz named Associate Vice President for Student Development, Learning, and Social Change Education

The Division of Student Life at the University of Michigan is committed to facilitating student learning and the development of the whole student. To this end, Student Life is pleased to announce that Dr. Connie Tingson Gatuz has accepted the Associate Vice President for Student Development, Learning, and Social Change Education position. Her appointment was approved by the Board of Regents on February 17, 2022.

March 7, 2023 | The Student Advisory Board is a group of approximately two dozen undergraduate and graduate students from across the schools and colleges who provide advice on pressing student issues to Dr. Martino Harmon, the Vice President for Student Life. Meetings throughout the academic year encourage discussion on new initiatives and emergent issues. The application for the 2023-2024 academic year runs from March 10th to March 31st, 2023. ​All U-M students are eligible to apply.

Michigan Housing

In a typical year, Michigan Housing serves as home on campus for nearly 11,000 students from nearly all 50 states and over 65 foreign countries. Far more than just places for resting or studying, residence halls function as small, accessible communities, helping new students transition from high school to college. Our facilities include 18 residence halls and 1,480 apartments on North Campus that accommodate undergraduates, students with families, and graduate students.

The Office of Student Conflict Resolution provides a variety of programs and services designed to support a safe, just, and peaceful campus community by helping U-M students learn how to manage and resolve conflicts.
