Residents Compete to Reduce Energy

University residence halls and apartments competed last semester in a month-long challenge to reduce their energy usage by at least 10 percent. When the results were tallied, the students had achieved 107,222 kilowatt hours in energy savings.

The Kill-A-Watt competition is a student-organized event, in collaboration with University Housing and funded by the Planet Blue Ambassadors Program.  Read the full story in the University Record Update.

Freshmen Orientation at the Winter Career Expo | Career Center

I’m a first year student….should I come to Expo? First year students are encouraged to attend the career fair and this year, with over 30 organizations interested in hiring first and second year students for internships, the Career Center is offering resources directly geared towards freshmen for them to have a very meaningful experience at the Expo. Because career fairs can be very large and intimidating, the Career Center is offering a “Freshmen Orientation at the Career Expo.”
